As a HR Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a thriving, engaged, and high-performing workforce. You’ll work closely with frontline leaders and teams to deliver proactive, people-first solutions that support every stage of the employee journey.
In this role, you’ll be more than an advisor, you will be a true business partner. You’ll collaborate across functions to align people strategies with business goals, champion employee engagement initiatives, and foster a culture where individuals feel supported, heard, and empowered to succeed.
Whether it’s coaching leaders, navigating change, or driving strategic HR projects, you’ll be at the heart of building a resilient and future-ready organisation.
If you're passionate about people, driven by purpose, and ready to lead with empathy and impact, this is your opportunity to make a difference.
Primary responsibilities:
Partner with the Senior People Partner to implement transformative people strategies during periods of growth, integration, and organisational change.
Coordinate and support the execution of HR plans and programs focused on organisational design, capability building, cultural development, and change management.
Build and manage strong regional relationships with key stakeholders and the broader HR community to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality HR services.
Translate enterprise-wide talent development strategies into tailored, local solutions that strengthen leadership, technical capability, and diversity pipelines within client groups.
Lead and support core HR business processes including talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and performance management—driving a high-performance culture across GLT-3 and beyond.
Develop a deep understanding of business drivers and performance metrics to provide leaders with actionable insights and strategic HR recommendations.
Deliver hands-on coaching and advisory support to people leaders on a range of HR matters, including policy interpretation, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and offboarding processes.
Provide accurate interpretation and guidance on relevant industrial instruments (e.g., Heads of Agreement, Local Agreements, Modern Awards), escalating complex matters to the Senior People Partner or Employee & Industrial Relations team as needed.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Proven experience in a similar HR partnering role.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related business discipline.
A proactive mindset with a passion for identifying and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
A strategic approach to problem-solving, considering a broad range of internal and external factors in decision-making.
Previous experience using Workday as a HRIS platform.
Solid working knowledge of industrial relations, legislation and employment law.
Proven ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments with accuracy and confidence.
