Salary
$85,010 to $95,198 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight. In addition, a 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance may be paid depending on qualifications
. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role
The Crossings Engineer is responsible for all works related to the construction of vehicular crossings constructed within the Shire. The role requires technical knowledge of relevant standards and ensuring Authorised Contractors are delivering crossings to meet these standards. The role requires a high level of communication and the ability to offer sound engineering advice to stakeholders including residents, contractors and internal staff.
Position requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia OR equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Current Drivers Licence Class C
- Construction Induction Certificate White Card required before commencement with Council
- Demonstrated customer service experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and technically skilled individual to manage Council’s Crossings approvals process. You will possess excellent communication skills, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and excellent problem-solving skills
