The Opportunity – 6 month Day Rate Contract with view to extend:
We’re seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the development of a robust business case for a major Data Risk & Governance initiative. Over the next six months, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, risk, data, and finance functions to define the scope, benefits, and funding requirements of a strategic program designed to uplift our data governance capabilities and reduce regulatory and operational risk -Responsibilities include:
- Lead the end-to-end development of the business case
- Define project scope, objectives, benefits, risks, and costs, ensuring clear articulation of value and strategic alignment
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across data, risk, compliance, finance, and IT to gather input, validate assumptions, and build consensus
- Prepare and present business case documentation and updates for executive and steering committee review
- Establish a clear project plan and governance approach for the business case phase, ensuring progress is tracked and risks are proactively managed.
If the business case succeeds, this role will likely be extended.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications and certification as a Certified Scrum Master, a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner or a Certified Disciplined Agilist or equivalent
- Proven experience developing business cases for large-scale data, risk, or governance initiatives, ideally within regulated industries such as energy or utilities
- Strong background in data governance, risk management, or data strategy, with the ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders to align outcomes.
- Experience delivering security projects within regulated organisations also highly considered
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and workstreams, including legal, compliance, and IT to shape project scope and delivery plans.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and funding strategy development for enterprise projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience presenting to executive sponsors, steering committees, and regulatory stakeholders
