Your new job As a Trainee Health and Building Surveyor, you will support Council’s building, development, and public health functions while gaining practical experience and undertaking a recognised qualification. Under supervision, you'll assist with inspections, assessments, and regulatory tasks across the Mid-Western Region, contributing to the safety and wellbeing of the community as you progress toward professional registration. |

You - You have completed a NSW High School Certificate or equivalent.
- You have the
ability and preparedness to enrol in a specialty tertiary qualification that is
recognised by Fair Trading NSW to enable ultimate registration as a Building
Surveyor – unrestricted (previously A1) or Building Surveyor – restricted (all
classes of building (previously A2).
- You have demonstrated
knowledge and experience in the use of word processing packages, database,
spreadsheet and e-mail applications.
- You have the willingness
and commitment to undertake the required qualification course study and
assignment workload outside of Council working hours.
- You hold a Current Class ‘C’ driver’s licence.
- You can demonstrate an interest in Health and Building Surveying as a career.
- You have organisational
skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
- You are highly
motivated and willingness to learn.
- You have knowledge
of Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities and a commitment to attending
relevant WHS training tertiary qualifications (or similar) in Building
Surveying.
The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $2.498 - $2,813 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $64,963 - $73,138 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience). |
