The Role
The Information Management cadet will support the Information Management Technology team to provide records management support to Council.
The cadet will be provided with work-based training at Council, whilst being required to study a relevant undergraduate degree at a university. This role supports the organisation’s information and records management functions by handling incoming correspondence, scanning and registering documents, maintaining secure records, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. It also involves providing administrative support, managing office supplies, assisting with digitisation and disposal programs, and delivering excellent customer service through helpdesk and phone enquiries.

What We Are looking For
- Enrolled and working towards completing Tertiary Qualifications in Information Management or an equivalent field
- Demonstrated very high standard of English skills including verbal, written, reading and comprehension of documents
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Demonstrated excellent customer service
- Quality management of own work
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Typing and computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office software and email
- Demonstrated typing and computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite as well as content management systems and technology in a professional setting
- Physical functional capacity to carry out operational tasks and responsibilities

Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be entering your penultimate or final year of a relevant undergraduate degree and remain enrolled for the duration of the cadetship.
