Job Description
As a Finance Analyst within our Financial Management Chapter Area, you will play a critical role delivering insight and driving change via our Agile way of working. While your role will vary from mission to mission, the capabilities and scope of our finance analysts do not.
We are finance professionals who provide a full suite of business partnering and FP&A services including but not limited to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, strategic partnering, management reporting, financial analysis, performance commentary and accounting advice.
This is how you'll bring the purpose of your role to life:
- Support month-end activities including P&L and balance sheet management, manual adjustments and reporting packs, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Assist with financial modelling and analysis to shape short and long-term strategies, and track performance against key business objectives.
- Use your technical expertise and critical thinking to provide commercial insights and recommendations for business cases and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation, delivering timely financial advice aligned to strategic goals.
- Own your work and contribute independently to management reporting and financial results for assigned business areas.
- Continuously interrogate your work to ensure it adds value, automate where possible, eliminate low-impact tasks, and seek smarter ways of working.
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to forecasting and planning, using best-practice approaches to enhance models and processes.
- Build subject matter expertise and stay across trends impacting financial and operational performance.
To be successful in the role, you should have:
- CA or CPA qualification or working towards
- Degree in Accounting or related discipline
- Proven experience in Finance management
- Experience in both management accounting – to support business partnership and technical accounting - to support accounting compliance
- Desire to build leadership skills with a genuine commitment to building capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to details
- Proven demonstration of a growth mindset with tenacity for problem solving and willingness to seek information and appropriately challenge status quo
- Passion for numbers and improving financial performance
