The Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Waste
Projects and Contracts, and based in Windsor NSW, the primary purpose of this
role is to implement and manage litter prevention initiatives in alignment with
Council’s Litter Prevention Plan, Waste & Resource Recovery Strategy 2032,
and Operational Plan, with a focus on education, enforcement, and stakeholder
engagement to drive behaviour change and reduce littering in the Hawkesbury
region.
About You
You will have proven experience in implementing
and managing effective solutions for litter prevention and waste management
challenges. Your experience will extend to engaging and partnering with
community groups to reach tangible and beneficial outcomes. You will
demonstrate high attention to detail and analytical skills; you will have
experience ensuring compliance with legislation and have the ability to produce
accurate reporting.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in project management, including
planning, implementation, and performance monitoring.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with
experience working collaboratively with government agencies, business and
community groups.
- Ability to collect, analyse and report data to
support program evaluation and decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with
demonstrated ability to manage data, reporting and presentations.
- Demonstrated understanding of local government
processes, services and systems.
- Tertiary qualifications (Bachelors or Masters)
in Business, Environmental Science, Waste Management, Behaviour Change, Local
Government, Education or a related field or demonstrated experience within
these areas.
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Successful applicants will be required to
undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
