ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are seeking an energetic and hard working trade qualified electrician to join Councils Facilities Management section.
Reporting to the Team Leader Electrical Services, this position is responsible for providing high level support and expertise in relation to all Council’s electrical installation and maintenance functions. The position is broad and provides the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of specialised electrical components. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to leverage their electrical expertise in a diverse role!
A key focus of this position will be to work constructively with the team to support efficient service delivery and the achievement of goals and objectives.
To be successful you will bring

- Electrical trade qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in domestic, commercial and industrial wiring systems.
- Proven experience working in control circuit wiring and electrical circuit fault finding.
- Proven ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
- Proven experience in the direction and supervision of apprentices and contractors.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in Microsoft 365 and other corporate software.
- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate a manual transmission and a good and safe driving record.
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).
- Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Current immunisation against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B viruses or willingness to participate in an immunisation program.
- Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster and work outside or normal working hours as required.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
