ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
Council is offering a great opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to plan, lead and motivate work teams to complete Council's road maintenance programs. The position will also provide assistance in monitoring and reviewing maintenance programs to ensure they are consistent with Council’s vision and meet the objectives of Council’s Delivery and Operational plan.
To be successful you will bring
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council's values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Qualifications in civil construction or a related field.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the civil construction industry, with knowledge of road maintenance and repair principles.
- Proven experience in developing budgets, budget administration and procurement for large projects.
- Experience with project and contract management including simultaneously managing multiple sites and contractors.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to manage and lead teams.
The rewards
- A salary range of 97,700 to $112,100 per annum (plus 12% superannuation), dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications. This is applicable to a 9 day fortnight work arrangement, and incorporates the payment of five hours of approved overtime per fortnight according to Council’s Annual Salary Agreement.
