ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly experienced professional to join Council's Airport team. Reporting to the Airport Manager, this exciting leadership role is key to ensuring the smooth and safe running of airport operations. You will guide and support a dedicated team of Airport Reporting Officers, driving a culture of operational excellence and professionalism across all airside activities. With a strong focus on safety, compliance and efficiency, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards, meeting regulatory requirements, and delivering a safe and positive experience for all airport users.
To be successful you will bring

- Relevant credentials combined with proven extensive professional experience in airport operations and sound understanding of airport operations, regulatory standards and policies, including CASA and DoHA (CISC) regulations and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff and an understanding of effective team leadership and management.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure all maintenance and repairs to airport infrastructure are carried out within budget and to internal and external required standards.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the coordination and management of projects, programs and budgets.
- Proven excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to negotiate and consult on complex matters.
