ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and capable individual to join its Road Construction team.
Reporting to the Supervisor Road Construction, this hands-on role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of vital community infrastructure. You will be involved in a variety of labouring duties to assist in the completion of road construction and maintenance projects, including roads, roadsides, footpaths, cycleways, kerb and guttering, drainage, bridge structures and all other assets for the Engineering Works section.

- Demonstrated understanding of and/or experience in general construction and maintenance duties associated with roads and roadsides, including concreting and finishing, pipe laying and sign installation.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various items of minor plant and equipment.
The rewards
- A salary range of $57,400 to $65,900 per annum (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
