About the role - 12 month Contract
The Technical Lead (Customer Transformation) will collaborate with a range of technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions as we embark on the Customer Transformation Program. Shape the solution design direction and overseeing the daily activities of developers, ensuring adherence to industry best practices. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of high-quality solutions aligned with top-tier architecture standards
- Contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the solution architecture in the Trading domain aligning with the strategic vision of the organisation
- Drive and ensure a test-driven and quality-led culture by building systems that prove their correctness using tools such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD and automation
- Collaborate with operations and platform teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems
- Provide leadership and mentorship, influencing both project success and the professional growth of the team
- Where required, participate in after-hours support roster providing 24/7 coverage for critical systems
Be Impactful when you are applying:
You will have experience delivering quality solutions in large software development teams & exposure to Agile or DevOps delivery environments in both general and technology-specific applications. Also, you will have some of the following competencies;
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems or formal training through a focused, reputable provider (eg. General Assembly)
- Minimum of 10+ years in developing customer-focused (Mobile Apps, Customer Account portals, web pages etc)
- Experience leading teams of developers and has the confidence to speak with authority on solution/technical designs
- High quality interpersonal skills in both written and verbal communication with a knack for building positive relationships
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns, test driven development & test automation
- Proficient development skills the following (or ability to understand/learn):
- Front end: React & Angular
- BackEnd/Integration: NodeJs, NestJs, RestAPI’s, Kafka
- Data: Python, SQL, Postgres
- Observability: New Relic, CloudWatch
- Development: Docker, Azure DevOps, Git, VSCode, Terraform, SonarQube
- Cloud: AWS Cloud Services
