Are you passionate about showcasing the amazing attractions and experiences of the Dubbo Region? Join our team as a Tourism Trainee and make an impact by helping shape unforgettable visitor experiences in our vibrant town. This role offers hands-on training across tourism operations, visitor services and marketing for the Wellington Caves, Old Dubbo Gaol and the Visitor Information Centres. Ideal for someone enthusiastic, community-minded, and eager to grow a career in the tourism industry. Be part of a team that celebrates local culture, nature, and hospitality.
You'll make an impact by:
- Gaining practical experience in tourism strategy and destination development
- Building skills in customer service, digital marketing, and hospitality
- Learning from experienced professionals in a supportive environment
- Contributing to projects that promote local heritage, nature, and community events
- Working across multiple teams and facilities building communication skills
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Willingness to learn and commit to a structured traineeship program.
- Willingness to obtain Certificate III in Tourism.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Good physical fitness
We would also love you to have:
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in process, practice and technology.
- Customer Service Skills or interest in the Customer Service industry

This position offers an attractive weekly salary ranging from $601.70 to $947.70.
