JOB DETAILS: 1x Temporary Full -Time position ( 2 Year Contract) 35 Hours 5 days per week Salary -$111,876 to 122,577 pa + Leaseback Vehicle + 12% super Location - Liverpool
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Liverpool City Council is looking for a Senior Project Manager who will support the Coordinator to develop, plan, deliver and carry out asset management of safe and effective roads and drainage infrastructure assets. This is a key position within the Project Delivery Department, and you will be required to assist the team and provide professional expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Coordinator in project managing the delivery of infrastructure capital works program and achieving project and program delivery goals by actively coordinating and overseeing the planning, design, procurement, construction and hand over processes across the organisation.
- Providing high quality road and drainage infrastructure by monitoring the execution and completion of works to achieve required specifications, quality, safety and environmental standards, time and budget constraints.
- Supporting the Coordinator by contributing to development of budget and managing and monitoring the program area budget.
- Assisting in maximising Council’s access to and use of grant funds for road and drainage infrastructure assets by identifying sources and preparing sound grant submissions and applications.
ABOUT YOU:
You’re a proactive and technically skilled engineer who thrives on delivering quality infrastructure outcomes. You bring a collaborative approach, strong project management skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities in a complex local government environment.
You'll have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
- A current Class C driver’s licence.
- Extensive experience in road and drainage infrastructure planning, design, construction, and maintenance.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to prepare budgets, reports, and technical documentation.
- Experience developing risk, environmental, and community engagement plans.
