JOB DETAILS: 3x Permanent Full -Time position 35 Hours 4 days per week (Tuesday – Friday) Salary $73110 -$ 79872 pa + 12% super Location - Rose Street Depot
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Join our Civil Maintenance team and put your hands-on skills to work supporting essential construction and maintenance across the community. In this multi-skilled role, you’ll work as part of a collaborative team to deliver high-quality civil works that keep our public spaces safe, functional and well-maintained.
In this role, You will :
- Work as part of a team to deliver civil construction and maintenance activities safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Operate and maintain plant, vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are kept in safe and serviceable condition.
- Follow all Work Health and Safety requirements and Safe Work Procedures.
- Complete daily worksheets, plant dockets and other documentation accurately and on time.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through communication, collaboration and sharing of skills.
- Provide courteous customer service when dealing with public enquiries and ensure worksites present a clean, tidy and professional appearance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality or efficiency and support continuous improvement across the team.
- Carry out any other duties as directed by Coordinators
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be someone who enjoys practical, outdoor work and takes pride in delivering quality results for the community. You work well in a team, communicate effectively and understand the importance of safety in every task.
To be successful, you will have:
- MR or HR Truck Licence (or working towards)
- General Construction WHS Induction (White Card)
- Experience in civil construction and/or maintenance (roads, drainage and/or concreting)
- General truck driving experience
- Experience operating small plant and equipment
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety practices, EEO principles, ethical practice and multicultural awareness
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Manual handling skills
- Basic vehicle and plant maintenance knowledge
- Ability to assess safety risks and take appropriate action
