About The Role
The Development Engineer - Stormwater is responsible for assessing development proposals with a particular focus on engineering impacts. This role demands a thorough understanding of stormwater management and environmental considerations to ensure that developments align with regulatory standards and community expectations.
You will assist in reviewing engineering plans, provide expert flooding and water quality advice, and coordinate with other engineering specialists.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background and a passion for sustainable development. You will have the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and work effectively within a team setting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in preparing technical and assessment reports related to development proposals.
- Proficiency in hydraulic and hydrologic software, including Drains, Turflow, ArcMap, HEC-RAS, and MUSIC.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise input from multiple engineering disciplines.
Additionally, knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, and experience in subdivision works certification will be advantageous.
