As ourCommunity Property Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in the strategic management of Council’s community property and land portfolio, ensuring community assets are governed, leased and utilised in a way that delivers long-term value for our residents.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for aproperty professionalwith strong experience incommunity or public-sector leasing, land and asset strategy and property governance, who enjoys working at the intersection of commercial acumen, policy and community outcomes.
As the Community Property Team Leader, you will:
- Lead a specialist team responsible for community property, leasing, tenure and asset governance.
- Strategically manage Council’s community land and property portfolio, ensuring fair, transparent and sustainable tenure arrangements aligned with legislative and Council requirements.
- Provide expert advice on community leasing, licence and lease negotiations, property valuation, financial analysis and regulatory compliance.
- Drive policy development, portfolio optimisation and continuous improvement across community property operations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align property strategy with activation, placemaking and community outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, government agencies and external stakeholders to maximise the value and appropriate use of community property assets.
- Contribute to strategic planning, projects and initiatives that support Council’s vision for a vibrant, sustainable and inclusive Sutherland Shire.

- Package:$113,004 - $124,276 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work:Permanent Full Time.You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
