About the Role
This role is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and implementing land management programs across City of Palmerston’s municipality. It is a key part of the Environmental team, working collaboratively across the organisation to protect Palmerston’s natural environments and support the delivery of major capital and operational projects, including new subdivision developments.
The role involves providing specialist advice and research in conservation and land management, working closely with internal teams, government bodies, and external agencies to develop project plans and support the successful delivery of projects. The position also participates in Council’s after-hours on-call roster and natural disaster response team. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in protecting and improving our natural environments while working closely with the community to deliver meaningful projects.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have a diploma or higher in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent), demonstrate practical experience and knowledge in managing conservation or rehabilitated land, thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team, ensuring tasks are completed on time to a high standard, and preparation and implementation of management plans, programs and reports
