Freight Planner – Lytton, QLD
About the role and opportunity –
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Planner to join our Energy division based in Lytton.
In this role, the Freight Planner is responsible for overseeing and coordinating day-to-day transport operations. This includes managing subcontractors and collaborating with internal Toll teams to ensure resources are utilised efficiently, and all activities are carried out safely, accurately, and in line with customer requirements.
You will plan and coordinate daily transport activities, ensuring freight is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Working closely with subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and clients, you will optimise resources and respond to operational challenges as they arise.
Duties and responsibilities, but not limited to –
Plan and coordinate daily and weekly transport and vehicle movements on Loose Trailer Loads.
Optimise loads to ensure efficient use of transport capacity.
Allocate equipment and subcontractor resources to meet customer demand.
Monitor operations to ensure work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
Provide a key communication point for customers and manage operational updates.
Investigate service failures and implement corrective actions.
What you’ll need to succeed –
Experience in transport, logistics or freight planning.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.
Strong time management and attention to detail.
