About the role
You will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating community development initiatives that strengthen community cohesion, wellbeing, and participation.
The role focuses on working collaboratively with the local community, relevant stakeholders and partners to identify needs, build capacity and improve access to services and opportunities for vulnerable and priority populations including older people, people with disability and other identified target groups.
About you
The
successful candidate will have:
- A degree in social science, social work or related field OR equivalent qualifications combined with experience
- A National Police Check and a current ‘Paid Worker’ - Working with Children clearance (NSW).
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable and priority populations
- Strong understanding of community development principles and inclusion
- Experience in project development including planning, delivery and evaluation
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and networking skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including attend meetings (i.e. Advisory Committee meetings) and events held in the evening as required

Salary range:
From $1651 per week (+ super) to $1912 per week (+ super) dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable
candidate.
