Lead the Delivery of Transformational Infrastructure Projects
Take the lead in delivering high-impact local infrastructure projects that shape the future of the Georges River community. In this role, you’ll manage multiple local infrastructure contributions projects, with a primary focus on the planning, design, delivery and close-out of open space and building construction works. As part of the City Technical Services team, you’ll turn concept designs into real outcomes that enhance the liveability and vibrancy of the area.
This is a hands-on project management role where you’ll drive project delivery, coordinate stakeholders, manage consultants and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Council’s policies and standards. This position is responsible for end-to-end management of multiple local infrastructure contributions projects, with a primary focus on the planning, design, delivery and close-out of open space and building construction works. The role oversees all phases of project development, from concept design and detailed documentation through to procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring that each project is executed to a high standard of quality, safety and compliance.
What We Offer
- Temporary, Full-Time - 35 hours per week (Maximum Term - Up to 2 years)
- Annualised Salary Agreement from $160,000 (Total Remuneration Package) to be negotiated dependent on skills and experience

- Based at the Civic Centre in Hurstville CBD
What We Are Looking For
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, construction, or a related field
- Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in building and/or open space and environmental projects, with sound project management and comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques and methods for projects such as large-scale concrete works, community and amenity buildings, sporting facilities and fields, marine infrastructure, and general building construction
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and contract administration
- Experience in engaging stakeholders and community
- Sound knowledge of project management practices and procedures
- Demonstrated experience in public consultation process and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of appropriate Australian standards, relevant NSW legislation,TfNSWpolicies, Technical Directions and Guidelines
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation
- Proficient in MS Office including Microsoft Project
