The Role
Reporting to the Coordinator
Animal Services and Community Safety, this position is at the frontline of keeping
the community safe, fair and moving. You will undertake investigations, enforce
parking and related legislation, and maintain accurate records, while engaging
with the community to provide guidance on Road Rules and promote compliance, awareness,
and respect for shared spaces.
About You
You have experience within a similar regulatory position and are skilled at conflict
resolution, negotiation and working with diverse stakeholders. You provide excellent
customer service, applying sound judgement to resolve issues effectively and
professionally. You manage competing priorities with initiative and
professionalism while upholding the highest ethical standards.
Qualifications and
Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Australian Road Rules relating to
the enforcement of on street parking related offences and Local Government Act
1993, to enforce parking regulations in Council's car parks
- High degree of understanding and experience in using computer software
systems, word processing, e-mail and internet to assist with written
communications
- Demonstrate
positive written and verbal communication, including active listening skills,
both within and outside the team environment
- Customer
Service skills and experience
- The right to live and work in
Australia
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Successful applicants will be
required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
- Class C Drivers Licence
Desirable Criteria:- Successful completion of
appropriate Self Enforcement Infringement Notice Scheme (SEINS)
- Holder of Certificate IV in
Regulatory Services/Investigations Knowledge or experience in Local Government
- Background in law
enforcement or as a parking patrol officer
