About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail oriented Town Planner to join our vibrant Development Assessment Team. As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in the team evaluating and guiding innovative development proposals, ensuring they align with our strategic vision and regulatory standards.

What you will be doing:
- Contributing to and assessing a broad range of Development Applications within established and growth areas of the Shire.
- Preparing assessment reports for determination.
- Preparing detailed assessment reports for Councils Development Assessment Unit or the Local Planning Panel in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Attending to customer enquiries as required.
- Attending pre-lodgements meetings.
- Representing Council at the Land and Environment Court.
What are we seeking in our new team member:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Town Planning or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- White Card - General Construction Induction
- High level interpersonal, organisational, verbal and written communication skills
- Sound Understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 and Local Government Act, 1993.
