- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Council’s safety culture
- Support & monitor WHS compliance for TRC business units
- Assist with development & maintenance of WHS systems, policies & procedures

The Risk & Safety division of Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a WHS professional to provide comprehensive support, guidance & advice on all WHS matters across the organisation.
The WHS Business Partner is responsible for:
- Working closely with supervisors, leaders & employees to promote & maintain safe work practices & a positive safety culture
- Identify, record & report hazards, incidents, accidents & injuries and developing corrective or preventative actions
- Identifying & implementing opportunities for improvement for increased health & safety performance & outcomes
- Monitor & ensure WHS compliance with demonstrated ability to interpret & apply Awards, Legislation, policies & procedures
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Diploma in Work Health & Safety or similar OR equivalent experience
- NSW Drivers Licence
- WHS Construction Card
- Immunisations for Hepatitis A&B, Tetanus, Q Fever OR willingness to undergo
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing & monitoring WHS systems

Salary range: Grade 16 - $1,792.30 - $1,939.40 per annum including 12% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
