TEMPORARY PART-TIME COMMUNITY SERVICES OFFICER (to 30 June 2027)
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Community Services Officer to join our team. As Council continues to grow and prosper at a steady rate, we are searching for a professional to provide a consistently high standard of administrative and client support, primarily responsible for facilitating our Meals on Wheels Service. The ideal candidate needs to be empathic to a broad range of customers and be capable of facilitating volunteer activities.

The salary range being offered for this part-time position is $1,713.32-$1,928.91 gross per 48-hour fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $44,546.46- $50,151.77 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
This position works 48 hours per fortnight as follows:
Monday & Tuesday (9:30am-3pm), Wednesday & Thursday (9:30am-2pm) and Friday (9:30am-4pm)
Our Meals on Wheels service operates Monday to Friday throughout the year, regardless of public holidays and Council's Christmas closure.
(Some) Key Accountabilities include:
- Basic assessment of clients against CHSP criteria and referral to, and from, other services as required
- Accurate receipting of payments and banking of monies
- Training and rostering of volunteers as required
- Processing of correspondence, minutes from meetings, departmental brochures and the like in accordance with established time standards
- Collation and provision of data for relevant funding bodies within established time standards
- Accurate filing and data entry into the relevant records management system.
- Contribute effectively as a member of Council’s Community Services team.
- To actively promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of the Workplace Environment Statement.
This position requires you to complete a National Police History Criminal Check and Working With Children Check.
