About the role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Contract Officer to join the rapidly growing Contracts team. In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for ensuring the needs of our community are being met by undertaking field audits, contributing to service delivery resolutions and building positive relationships with stakeholders.
You will contribute to the delivery of waste and recycling services to the community and help achieve the City’s residential waste targets and commitment to:
- Reducing waste generation per capita by 15% by 2030; and
- Diverting 90% of residential waste (35% as source separated recycling) from landfill by 2030.
The successful candidate will have:
- TAFE certificate 4 Level or higher in a relevant discipline such as contract management, business management, project management, procurement and finance, or demonstrated equivalent experience. A university degree will be well regarded, though not essential
- Experience with stakeholder management and an ability to develop constructive relationships with contractors, stakeholders and other partners with the City
- Strong problem solving and resolution skills to identify and provide solutions to service delivery issues
- Good written and communication skills, with experience using Word, Excel and Outlook, or similar
- A Valid NSW Driver’s license (Class C)

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
