Transport Supervisor – Heathwood, QLD
About the role and opportunity –
We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to lead our bulk distribution operations in Heathwood. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of transport services while driving high performance across people, processes, and customer outcomes.
You will oversee daily transport operations, manage driver performance, and play a key role in delivering operational excellence, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties, but not limited to –
Lead and manage day-to-day transport operations, ensuring service delivery and KPI performance are consistently achieved.
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of drivers, fostering a strong safety-first and high-performance culture.
Drive operational efficiency through effective resource planning, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as the key escalation point for operational, service, and safety issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Manage subcontractors and ensure seamless, compliant, and reliable service delivery
Oversee compliance with fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), safety legislation, and company policies whilst building strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and manage teams.
Experience working within safety-critical environments and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of fatigue management, heavy vehicle regulations, and transport operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
