Title: Engineer - Civil Structures, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $101751.32 to $118251.57 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Transport and Civil Infrastructure
The Transport & Civil Infrastructure Business Unit provides a range of maintenance and delivery relating to road assets, traffic management and street lighting; and infrastructure related to parking system assets. It provides timely and accurate advice and users better practice methods and procedures while developing new and innovative solutions to problems in a cost effective and environmentally sustainable manner. The Transport & Civil Infrastructure Business Unit delivers the following services:
• Maintenance & Construction of Civil Infrastructure
• Traffic and Transport Planning
• Asset Management & Planning
• Community Transport, Parking, Fleet and Stores
• Business Operations

Our opportunity:
The Engineer - Civil Structures will manage a portfolio of assets subject to change including but not necessarily limited to Council’s wharves, tidal pools, retaining walls and bridges.
The key focus areas of this role include:
1) Assist in the development and implementation of the Capital Works program/s relating to programs under your care and control to ensure assets are maintained in a serviceable condition.
2) Support the Senior Engineer – Civil Structures in asset management functions including using and updating asset condition, cost and other attribute data to make informed maintenance, renewal and asset disposal recommendations to ensure the long term sustainability of infrastructure assets within your care and control.
3) Identify, analyse, prioritise, and mitigate risks primarily related to Civil Structures to achieve low or tolerable risk profiles for Council infrastructure assets.
