Title: Stormwater Engineer - Delivery, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $111468.9 to $129545.15 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience) + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance

The Environment & Resilience Unit prepares and plans for complex environmental, sustainability and engineering programs and projects to achieve quality outcomes for the residents and environment of the Northern Beaches.
The Stormwater Engineering Group within the Environment & Resilience Unit provides both strategic and operational management for the Council's stormwater assets. You will be working within the Stormwater Design and Delivery team who are tasked with designing and delivering Council’s stormwater asset renewal program throughout the local government area. Additionally, the group is responsible for ensuring the high-performance delivery of stormwater asset services which include construction, operation, maintenance, and sustainable renewal, all aimed at meeting community needs while minimising environmental impact.

Our opportunity :
The key focus areas of this role include:
1. Deliver stormwater capital and asset management projects, managing the planning, design and delivery of renewal, upgrade and improvement works that enhance the safety, performance and resilience of Council’s stormwater network.
2. Coordinate the delivery and effective management of stormwater capital works projects to expected timelines and within budget including risk management, scoping, design development, consultant and contractor management, overseeing of construction works, stakeholder management and community engagement
3. Provide technical support and advice to other departments and staff on engineering matters related to stormwater and drainage design driving a culture of teamwork and respect.
4. Provide technical advice and stakeholder engagement, offering expert drainage information, reviewing designs and models, and working closely with the community, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
About you :
We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our stormwater team. You’ll bring your expertise and knowledge about delivering complex drainage design and stormwater capital works to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
