Marine Services Manager – Darwin, NT
About the Role and Opportunity –
We are seeking an experienced Marine Services Manager to lead the delivery of critical marine logistics services supporting Australian Border Force and Defence operations.
Based in Darwin, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for end-to-end service delivery, system integration, performance management and continuous improvement across marine supply chain operations.
Our Government & Defence division plays a vital role in enabling operations in some of the most complex and remote environments, delivering high-impact logistics solutions that drive mission success. You will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, driving innovation, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in a highly dynamic and safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties, but not limited to –
Lead and oversee the delivery of marine logistics services in line with contractual requirements and SLAs.
Oversee interoperability between client and internal systems to ensure secure and accurate data exchange.
Act as the primary point of contact for key government clients and build strong relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Manage subcontractors and supplier performance within the Performance Management Framework.
Ensure compliance with all HSSEQ policies, systems and legislative requirements and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and environmental performance.
Lead and mentor a small, geographically dispersed team and foster a collaborative, high-performance and safety-first culture.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in service delivery, operations or logistics leadership roles.
Strong understanding of contract management, compliance and KPI frameworks.
Experience working in marine, defence, or complex logistics environments.
Demonstrated ability to manage systems, data, and operational performance.
Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement capability.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
