workplace safety culture and support the continuous improvement of Council's WHS Management System.
About the Role
Reporting to the Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator, this role
is responsible for supporting and maintaining Council’s Workplace Health and
Safety Management System, implementing health monitoring procedures and supporting the management of WHS training across the organisation.
You will work closely with leaders, employees, contractors,
medical providers and insurers to promote a positive safety culture.
This role offers a diverse mix of office-based
administration, stakeholder engagement, incident management, compliance
support, training coordination, and site-based safety support.

About You
You are organised, approachable and solutions-focused, with
a genuine commitment to workplace safety and employee wellbeing.
You will bring:
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or
related disciplines
- Knowledge of WHS & Injury Management Frameworks: demonstrated
knowledge of relevant WHS and workers compensation legislation, standards and
best practice, including obligations within a local government environment
- Experience in WHS and/or Injury Management:
proven experience in a WHS and/or injury management role or a related
discipline, including incident investigations
- Communications & Influencing skills:
well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to
engage, coach and influence a diverse workforce and build a positive safety
culture
- Organisational, analysis & reporting
capability: demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, maintain
accurate records, analyse data and prepare clear, concise reports.
- Class C Drivers Licence
Salary and Benefits
The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $3,098.20 - $3,287.10 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $80,553.20 - $85,464.60 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
