About the role
The position of landscape architect is necessary for
meeting many of Council’s statutory responsibilities and key parts of our Delivery
Program and Operation Plan, Community Strategic Plan, Open Space Plan and Urban
Forest Strategy as well as other obligations to the community.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Previous experience in integral involvement in the design and delivery of urban and environmentally sensitive projects
- A completed degree in Landscape Architecture with eligibility for AILA registration
- Experience in collaborating with other disciplines within projects, such as architects, traffic consultants, engineers, or ecologists.
- Independent preparation of landscape architecture documents, from concept to construction documentation with costing estimates
- Understanding areas related to landscape management, tree preservation, bushland management, playground safety, and maintenance issue
- Advanced proficiency in drafting in AutoCAD and confident graphic communication using Adobe Suite and Canva
