About the Opportunity
At PMHC, every employee plays a part in ensuring we work

this, we seek 2 dedicated Sewerage Pump Stations Attendants to undertake
the operation, maintenance and repair of Council’s sewage pumping stations and
associated infrastructure across the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated
experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of pumping and/or
civil infrastructure within a water utility or other relevant field.
- Proven
ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- An
understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements and a demonstrated
willingness to work in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures
and Council policies.
- A
General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- A
current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence or willing to obtain prior to commencement.
- The
ability and willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster
and undertake planned and unplanned overtime.
On a typical day this role will:
- Operate,
maintain and repair Council’s sewage pumping stations and associated odour
management systems.
- Respond
to sewer chokes, overflow events and other operational emergencies.
- Monitor
network performance and respond to alarms using systems including SCADA
and Water Outlook.
- Undertake
sewage quality sampling, odour monitoring and other planned and reactive
operational activities.
- Participate
in PMHC’s after-hours on-call roster and planned and unplanned overtime as
required.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per
week with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of 12% super): Starting salary of $1263.29
per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression up to $1414.02 per
week.
Allowances: Adverse Working Level 1, Sewer Choke Allowance
& On Call Allowance
