Role Overview
As a Project Estimator, your main goal will be to improve the accuracy of project cost estimates. You will work with Project Managers, Engineering & Planning teams, and other stakeholders to create detailed and precise cost estimates. This role involves developing estimates based on project scope, historical data, and supplier input, conducting site visits, and providing post-project cost analysis.
Requirements for Success
- Education: A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in project estimation within the construction, building, or engineering sectors. Experience with cost estimation for both small and large capital projects is preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication and negotiation skills, excellent analytical abilities, solid organizational and critical thinking skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant tools.
