opportunity for a Senior Community Engagement Advisor to work with the Engaged
Communications team across the organisation.

About the Role
Working in a supportive team in Melbourne’s east, you will help deliver initiatives that have a tangible impact on the daily lives of residents.
You will
support the development and implementation of strategic community engagement
initiatives, ensuring alignment with International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) best practices and Council’s Community Engagement approach.
You will work
with internal teams on their engagement projects, from planning through to
evaluation, while building capability and consistency in how we connect with
our communities.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating complex Community Engagement projects, ideally within a complex or community-focused environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or a related field, you will have demonstrated expertise in planning and executing end-to-end engagement projects and developing effective communication materials across various platforms.
- Professional certification in engagement practices such as IAP2, and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with on-line engagement tools such as Granicus - Engagement HQ – Your Say or similar.
- A solid understanding of survey design principles, best practice surveys and analysis.
- Drive to continuously improve and seek to find better ways to do things.
