Exciting opportunity for
a highly experienced professional to lead a small team to coordinate the
strategic planning and advocacy for significant transport infrastructure
outcomes, for the municipality and also in relation to the North East Link
project. Working collaboratively with
key stakeholders in our business and the community, you will engage, advocate
and liaise with the various North East Link project authorities and contractors
and other relevant stakeholders to ensure transport objectives are archived in
line with Council’s Transport Action Plan 2021.

About the role
This role
is responsible for coordinating a team of professionals including the Strategic
Transport Planner and three Project Officers who provide the interface between
Council and the North East Link Project. Together this team deliver strategic
planning and advocacy for integrated transport, and represent councils’
interest on the North East Link project.
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualified in
Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Planning, Project Management (in
Infrastructure) or other relevant field.
- Highly experienced in
assessing large scale, complex transport infrastructure related projects.
- Experienced people
leader who can also manage a complex portfolio with competing demands
- Able to engage and
work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexible, agile and
able to respond to changing priorities, to complete tasks within tight
timeframes and solve problems on the go.
- An expert in the
workings of state and/or local government.
- Experienced in dealing
directly with the community on complex and sensitive matters.
