Library Assistant – Outreach Services (Part Time Role)

To be successful in this role you will be friendly, reliable, and community-minded, with a strong focus on customer service. You will have the ability to assist with basic technology use, perform circulation tasks and support the delivery of outreach services. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a commitment to creating a welcoming library environment are essential.
The Library Assistant – Outreach Services is responsible for:
- Welcoming customers and provide them with assistance to locate library material, basic reader’s advisory service, basic information service and basic help with use of technology
- Providing a home library service to customers
- Performing library circulation duties i.e. issuing, returning, shelving and displaying books
- Ensuring that library collections are in order and that the library is tidy and welcoming
- Providing quality customer service to all members of the public
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- NSW Drivers Licence
- Higher School Certificate (or equivalent)
- WWCC (Working With Children Check) Clearance

Salary range: Grade 6 - $31.82 - $34.43 per hour plus 12% superannuation for a 22.45 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
