- Salary $85,108.03 – $105,618.30 p.a. plus superannuation
- Permanent Full Time - 35 hours per week plus three weekly RDO

We have an exciting and rare permanent full-time opportunity available for a Community Engagement Officer – Home Library Service.
Reporting to the Library Events & Programs Team Leader, you will join a professional and friendly team of experienced Library Community Engagement Officers who share the same passion of providing high quality library programs and customer service. Your main responsibility will be to manage and provide an excellent home library service that meets community needs.
About you
You will be highly organised and possess outstanding communication skills. You will have an understanding of the library industry and home library service provision.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Studies or Information and Knowledge Management or extensive equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing a home library service or similar.
- Demonstrated commitment to learning and continuous self-improvement as well as a positive approach to change, flexibility and adaptability in the work environment.
- An enthusiastic and engaging approach to providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work both as a team member and independently, with proven time management and organisational skills.
- Well-developed knowledge and skills in Library technology with the ability to assist customers in the use of technology.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise, consult and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Competency in all MS office applications including word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to EEO and WH&S principles.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake the physical requirements of the position as outlined in section Eight (8) of the position description.
- Current C class driver’s license.
Desirable Criteria
- Willingness to obtain a First Aid Certificate.
