About the role
This position is responsible for the
administration and implementation of the construction contracts for Manningham.
This is achieved through tendering, assessment and selection of suitable
contractors then and on-going project management to safely build works to meet
the design and ultimately the needs of the community. Often, you’ll be required
to think on your feet and adapt to changing conditions- be that weather,
politics or soil, amongst others, to ensure works get delivered to a high
standard.
Skills and experience
- Equivalent of a Degree in Engineering or Construction
management (with the ability to be registered as an Engineer, highly favoured)
with a minimum five years’ experience in construction supervision of civil
projects.
- A professional with the ability to design, review and manage
the design of civil projects.
- A project delivery
professional who can effectively and economically plan, implement, and supervise civil projects to ensure
compliance with the contract, Council requirements, industry
standards and legislative requirements.
- A specialist who engages in an environment of collaboration
and knowledge sharing.
- A problem solver,
able to resolve complex operational and service delivery
issues to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D
and/or Civil Site Design for the design/review of roads, drains and traffic
improvement works is an advantage (but not essential).
- Experience and understanding of environmentally
sustainable design is desirable
- Driver’s Licence valid in Victoria
