About the Role
Whether you have just started out, or bring years of experience, this might be the place for you. Reporting to the Coordinator Building Services, you'll be part of a vibrant, close-knit team making a real impact in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess building applications across all classifications
- Ensure compliance with BCA, state legislation & local policies
- Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Investigate building compliance issues
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is:
- Registered Level 1 or 2 Building Surveyor (or undertaking study to become registered)
- Experience with state building legislation, BCA and other relevant requirements.
- The ability to mentor and coach other team members.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, and an ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- The ability to work in a small but vibrant team environment.
- Experience in the use multiple software platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to providing high level of internal and external customer service.
