Position Overview
The Technical and Contract Specialist provides essential administrative and coordination support for Recycling & Waste services contracts. This role focuses on maintaining the contract framework, preparing and updating documentation, assisting with contract implementation, and supporting day‑to‑day contract management activities.
You will be responsible for coordinating contractor meetings, preparing reports, monitoring compliance documentation, updating performance records, and assisting with the administration of technical specifications and procurement processes. Working closely with the Recycling and Waste Services team, you will ensure contract activities run efficiently and align with service standards.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual with strong administrative and contract support experience.
You will bring:
- Qualifications in Business, Finance, Procurement, Law, or a related field.
- Experience providing administrative support across contract or procurement functions, ideally within local government.
- Strong attention to detail, document management capability, and an ability to coordinate workflows.
- Confidence in preparing reports, maintaining records, and assisting with basic financial and performance analysis.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will be a practical problem‑solver with strong organisational skills and a commitment to supporting high‑quality service delivery.
