Assistant Accountant
- Full Time permanent, onsite - 35hrs pw, 9 day fortnight

The City Performance directorate underpins the delivery of service excellence by providing expertise in financial services, procurement, governance, customer experience and business technology.
About the role
Provide multi-skilled support to the Finance Business Unit in the form of accurate, timely, compliant and transparent financial information and analysis to support informed business decision making by the Executive, Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
About the role
- Support treasury operations with daily bank receipting, reconciliation of bank accounts and processing petty cash.
- General finance queries and duties as required.
- Ensure allocated tasks for month end financial reporting deliverables are completed accurately within timetable deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of supporting workpapers for Council’s Annual Financial Statements
- Assist with internal and external audit queries.
- Promoting Buyside’s values and collaborative culture
About you
- Degree qualified in Commerce or Accounting related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Some experience working in a finance team
- Knowledge and experience with Excel, Outlook and Word.
- The right to work in Australia.
