About the Role
Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our Holiday Haven Tourist Parks team. This is a practical, hands‑on role where no two days are the same - from building and repairs to landscaping, concreting and general park upkeep.
As a Maintenance Officer, you'll carry out a range of construction and maintenance tasks across all Holiday Haven Tourist Parks. This includes everything from repairing buildings and installing park infrastructure, to concreting, fencing, drainage work, general carpentry, landscaping, painting and vegetation control.
Other key responsibilities of this role include:
- Quotation and ordering of material
- Coordination and monitoring of Trainee Maintenance Officer and contractors
- Operation and maintenance of small to medium plant
- Asset inspection and reporting
- Use of Council Computer Software such as GIS, TechOne, Outlook, TRIM and Mobile Technology to schedule and monitor works including contract documents, the completion of timesheets, Plant Pre-Start inspections, WHS documentation and to keep an accurate work diary
- Coordinate contractors confirming scope, programming and quality of work

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Certificate III in Carpentry or relevant demonstrated experience
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Minimum 5 years construction/maintenance industry experience
- Demonstrated competence and accuracy in interpreting Specifications and Construction plans
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate work activities on a project site
- Proof of right to work in Australia
