Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from skilled and motivated Operators to join our Regional Services teams. We have upcoming opportunities across civil construction, operational services, and sports & recreation, supporting the delivery of essential infrastructure and community spaces across the region.

Opportunities may include:
- Operator, Operational Services (Grade 6)
Maintenance and construction of civil infrastructure, operating a range of plant and equipment as part of a high-performing operational team. - Operator – Construction (Grade 7)
A specialist construction role delivering civil works across the region, involving travel to project sites and the operation of heavy plant and machinery. - Operator, Sports & Recreation (Grade 6)
Supporting the maintenance and presentation of parks, gardens, sporting fields, streetscapes, cemeteries and reserves across Tamworth and surrounding precincts.
About you:
You may have experience in civil construction, plant operation, horticulture or parks maintenance, along with relevant qualifications or equivalent on-the-job experience. You’re safety focused, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Relevant licences, tickets or certifications (such as plant operation, traffic control, HR/LR licences, or trade-related certificates) will be highly regarded, depending on the role.

A Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant or other related field is desirable for Construction and Transport Operations roles however applicants with 12 months equivilant experience and/or a willingness to obtain this Certficate will be accepted.

Salary range: Grade 6 - 7 - $1,113.60 - $1,246.30 per week plus superannuation & allowances for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a Pre-employment Medical Screening including Alcohol & Other Drugs Testing.
