About Future Fund
At the Future Fund, we’re for future minds – like yours. The new investors and creators who thrive on different thinking and doing it together. Those who glimpse opportunity before it strikes and step up every day to grab it.
The Future Fund is Australia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, managing over $310 billion across seven public asset funds with the same purpose: growing Australia’s future. We are a global investor and work closely with world leading investment organisations to access the best investment ideas.
Where others see challenges, we see more interesting investment experiences. Every person, every skillset, every mindset is an asset. We’ve got every future generation to consider, yet our approach to investing is incredibly pure: we think about it deeply, and daily. Ours is a culture where great people grow the future together, with the rare ability to work collaboratively, think freely, and make a real difference.
Are you Futureminded? Let’s create what’s next.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Experience, this is a hands-on, high-impact role at the centre of how people experience “moments that matter” at the Agency — joining, changing roles, planning leave, contract updates and more.
You’ll take end-to-end ownership of people workflows: coordinating actions, keeping data accurate, ensuring stakeholders know what’s happening (and when), and making sure lifecycle changes land smoothly and on time.
If you love bringing order to complexity, enjoy being the trusted “connector” across HR, payroll and leaders, and take real pride in getting the details right — you’ll thrive here. You’ll also get strong exposure to people operations, plus genuine development support through coaching, guidance and mentoring from a high-performing Employee Experience team.
Key Responsibilities
Own employee lifecycle requests end-to-end (joining, role changes, contract updates, planned leave and other employment changes), coordinating system updates, approvals, payroll actions and follow-ups to completion.
Stay ahead of upcoming lifecycle events (e.g., end dates, planned changes), proactively following up with HRBPs, employees and people leaders to ensure actions are completed ahead of effective dates.
Monitor, triage and manage queries from HRBPs, employees and people leaders — acknowledging general requests within one business day and actively progressing matters through to resolution with proactive updates.
Identify and escalate urgent/time-sensitive matters early, applying sound judgement and engaging your People Leader/PC&I leadership where required.
Maintain accurate, confidential people data across systems and trackers, ensuring integrity, privacy and compliance with established processes.
Support PC&I operational activities such as data capture, reporting and audit tasks — delivering accurate, timely outputs stakeholders can rely on.
Coordinate recruitment support activities across hiring workflows (including screening and onboarding support) in partnership with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, the Employee Experience Systems Specialist and suppliers.
Contribute to continuous improvement by spotting practical opportunities to simplify workflows, uplift templates and improve ways of working — and supporting broader PC&I initiatives and projects as directed.
Provide service continuity support across Employee Experience and broader PC&I activities as needed
About You
Demonstrated experience in an HR Coordinator / people operations / operational support role (experience with employee lifecycle coordination is ideal).
Strong relationship management and stakeholder communication skills — clear, timely and professional in both written and verbal communication.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines without losing attention to detail.
High standards for data accuracy, documentation and confidentiality, with an understanding of privacy and ethical handling of sensitive information.
Confident digital capability, including strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and comfort working with data.
Familiarity with contemporary AI-enabled tools (e.g., drafting, summarising, analysing information to improve efficiency) and an understanding of responsible use — especially in people-related contexts.
Experience with Workday (advantageous).
A qualification in HR, Business Management or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
Please note that the opportunity is open to Australian citizens only.
The People Experience Coordinator role is a long‑term 23‑month fixed‑term contract.
