About the Role
Supporting the Head Chef at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre by helping plan menus, prepare food, and deliver catering services for a range of events and venues. This includes:
- Assist in the preparation of catering requirements for SEC functions, which includes assisting with the preparation of food for large and small events, café, restaurant and buffet services.
- Perform all general cleaning duties in the catering areas of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre & off-site kitchens
- Use of kitchen for food preparation to the appropriate level of safety and hygiene

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Certificate II or equivalent qualification in Hospitality/Catering or related field
- Food handling certificate SITXFSA001 or equivalent certificate
- Barista trained, equivalent experience or willingness to obtain
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Working With Children Check
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
This role suits someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment, works well in a team, and brings a positive, hands-on attitude. Strong organisation, good communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are important. Practical skills in food preparation, safe food handling, and maintaining clean, well-presented work areas will help them fit well within the team and support successful event catering.
