About the Opportunity
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our Community. To support this work, we are seeking an enthusiastic Education Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, values variety, and can be flexible and responsive to changing priorities. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community education and keen to support a broad range of programs and activities across environmental, sustainability and road safety themes. This is a casual position and work hours vary according to project and organisational needs. Flexibility is required, including occasional evening and weekend work.
A typical shift in this this role might include tasks such as:
- Helping set up and pack down at community events and pop-up stalls
- Engaging with community members at events and activities on a variety of environmental and road safety topics
- Supporting the lead facilitator in preparing for and delivering school and community workshops
- Supporting Council tour guides to conduct facility tours
- Office duties such as preparing program materials, packing and organising equipment and resources, and collating reporting data
- Working with the Education team on program debriefs and process improvements
Our Education Assistants also get to bring our much loved mascots, Whizzy the Waterdrop and Timmy Hastings, to life at key events and school visits throughout the year.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Casual
Salary: Casual rate $41.70 per hour including casual loading
Superannuation: 12%
