The United Protestant Association of NSW Limited (UPA) is a values-driven, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering compassionate care across NSW. With over 1,400 employees and services spanning residential aged care, home care, and retirement living, UPA is committed to ensuring “our people are by our side” in every aspect of care.
We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Personal Carer at Bracken House Hostel in our Western Region.
About the Opportunity
As a Personal Carer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. You will provide person-centred care that supports independence, dignity, and meaningful daily living.
You will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting residents to continue doing the things they enjoy most, while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering a broad range of person-centred care and support
- Assisting with daily living activities to promote independence and wellbeing
- Supporting medication administration (where competency assessed) and wound care
- Encouraging and enabling residents to maintain their interests and lifestyle choices
- Working collaboratively with residents, families, and the care team to achieve positive outcomes
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, motivated, and committed to high-quality aged care. Ideally, you will have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or working towards it
- Experience in aged care (desirable but not essential)
- A strong commitment to person-centred care and dignity in service delivery
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A compassionate, respectful, and resident-focused approach
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Flexibility to work across various shifts and days

Pre-Employment Requirements

- Undertake a National Criminal History Check
- Complete a pre-employment medical assessment
