Your Role:
As a CDS Attendant, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the City’s Container Deposit Scheme refund point, helping customers recycle eligible containers safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Supervisor CDS, you’ll support container processing, customer service, site operations, and collection activities to help keep the depot running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service while assisting with container drop-offs and enquiries;
- Sort, count, and process eligible containers while maintaining accurate operational records;
- Collect Container for Change bins across the City, operating the CDS collection vehicle safely and efficiently while completing scheduled collection runs;
- Operate compactors, bin lifters, hoppers, and other equipment safely and efficiently; and
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with WHS requirements.

Eligibility requirements associated with the position
- Minimum MR Class drivers licence;
- Able to walk and stand for long periods; and
- Ability to work on a rotating weekend roster.
