The Opportunity
Join us as the Project Lead – Arts Strategy and help shape a vibrant and culturally rich city. In this role, you will lead innovative arts and cultural initiatives, develop strategic programs and partnerships, and deliver projects that enhance community connection, creativity and public spaces across the City
Reporting to the Alliance Manager, Arts and Culture, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Leading the development of the City’s Public Art Strategy and updating of policies;
- Providing strategic arts and culture advise to leadership and stakeholders;
- Undertaking research and analysis to support strategy and program development; and
- Developing and delivering arts and culture projects and programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and aligned with public art strategy.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in arts management, cultural planning, public policy, community development, or other related field;
- Extensive experience in the development and implementation of arts and cultural strategies in a government or community context;
- Strong understanding of collections principles and policy, cultural policy, and contemporary arts practice; and
- Demonstrated leadership and project managements skills, including experience managing budgets, timelines and complex stakeholder relationships.
